High risk of landslides on route 32

Due to heavy rains there is an increased risk of landslides on the route 32 from San Jose to Limon. The traffic police is on high alert and encourages drivers to drive cautiously. In case of a roadblock on the section between San Jose and Siquirres drivers can drive on the route 10. Though the drive via Turrialba takes longer.

 

Bridge in Orotina collapsed

The bridge over the River Tarcoles, which connects Orotina and Turrubares, collapsed! The route is closed! The route between San Jose and Jaco Beach is not affected, a makeshift bridge is under construction. At present it is only possible to cross the Rio Tarcoles at this location on a small boat!

 

 

Gasoline prices of Costa Rica

The price of regular and super gas has dropped and the price of diesel has gone up in Costa Rica.

The weather in Costa Rica

In San Jose in November the minimum temperature is statistically 63.3°F (17.4°C) and the maximum temperature is 75.6°F (24.2°C). The average rainfall for the whole month is 147 millimeters and it rains an average of 19 days.

In Liberia in November the minimum temperature is statistically 70.9°F (21.62°C) and the maximum temperature is 89.1°F (31.7°C). The average rainfall for the whole month is 103 millimeters and it rains an average of 12 days.

In Limon in November the minimum temperature is statistically 71.4°F (21.9°C) and the maximum temperature is 85.3°F (29.6°C). The average rainfall for the whole month is 387 millimeters and it rains an average of 24 days.
