The road network suffers under strong downpours !

Apart from the Caribbean coast in many parts of Costa Rica the traffic conditions suffer under the strong downpours.

On the route from San Ramon to La Fortuna, near Chachagua, a landslide is slowing down traffic.

The section between Parrita and Quepos is partially flooded. The roads and bridges are still passable

 

Costa Rica on their way to the Soccer World Cup !

Costa Rica became the first team to advance to the final round of the Soccer World Cup qualifying in the CONCACAF region. The national soccer team of Costa Rica beat Suriname 4:1 on Saturday and are on their way to a third straight appearance in the Soccer World Cup.
