Gasoline prices of Costa Rica

The prices of regular, super gas and diesel have dropped in Costa Rica.

The actual prices (per liter):
435 Regular
452 Super
354 Diesel

 

The construction of the highway from San Jose to Caldera progresses

The construction of the new road from the capital to Caldera advances steadily. The new road sections from San Jose to Ciudad Colon and from Orotina to Caldera are already open to traffic. The road got widened and there is extra space for the buses to stop, the speed limit is now 100 Km/H in some sections.

The part from Ciudad Colon to Caldera is supposedly finished in July 2010.

 

 

The weather in Costa Rica

In San Jose in June the minimum temperature is statistically 64.6°F (18.1°C) and the maximum temperature is 78.8°F (26°C). The average rainfall for the whole month is 242 millimeters and it rains an average of 21 days.

In Liberia in June the minimum temperature is statistically 73.8°F (23.2°C) and the maximum temperature is 89.8°F (32.1°C). The average rainfall for the whole month is 245 millimeters and it rains an average of 23 days.

In Limon in June the minimum temperature is statistically 73°F (22.8°C) and the maximum temperature is 86.5°F (30.3°C). The average rainfall for the whole month is 299 millimeters and it rains an average of 25 days.

 

Interamericana Sur closed

In the upcoming 3 weeks the Interamericana Sur will be closed because of road works. The road will be blocked on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays from 9 AM till 1 PM. The works will be completed on June the 14th. The first section that will be closed is the leg from Cartago to San Isidro de El General.
