Coco Beach (Playas del Coco) - Costa Rica

Coco Beach is for Liberia what Jaco Beach is for San Jose, they are beach towns on the weekend for the city people. Located only 35.7 kilometers from the city of Liberia, that has an international airport.
Coco Beach is one of the first choices when locals or tourists want to be at the beach quickly. This beach is frequented by Ticos who sunbath, flirt or play soccer and volleyball.

There are various diving schools in Coco Beach which have diving trips for beginners, intermediates and experts. There are many interesting dive spots very close to this beach. In fact one can dive at a different spot each day for at least two weeks. Ship wrecks, Bull Sharks, Reef Sharks, Snapper and Sting Rays are some of the underwater attractions here.

Many fishing families still live on the south end of the beach, in the evening one can observe them while they unload their catches.
